About Artist

Mahvash Arshadi, born in 1957 in Iran, is a contemporary interdisciplinary artist whose involvement in the world of art commenced at the age of four. Influenced by her parents' simplistic paintings and her grandmother's intricate carpet designs, Mahvash's artistic journey began. Her primary canvas was a 50 x 50 meter asphalt space adjacent to her residence, serving as her personal sketchbook, routinely cleared by her grandmother to create a new canvus.

Throughout her high school years, Mahvash continued to pursue art. At 20, she initiated a teaching career as a painting instructor at the university where she studied psychology. Concurrently, she explored fashion design and hosted her own art exhibition, marking the inception of her artistic profession.

later on, she established her own art school, serving as an instructor for over three decades, integrating modern psychological and pedagogical concepts into her teaching methodology.

In addition to visual art, Mahvash's artistic pursuits encompassed music. Trained in music, she participated in various orchestras in Iran as a choir singer and later formed her own choir, appearing on television programs and private concerts.
Mahvash's artistic range is extensive. She engages in composing poems, songs, designing stage and costumes and undertaking any artistic endeavor that intrigues her. Articles and short stories also form a significant part of her artistic activities.
